Exercise

During stressful situations, our body reacts with a response known as 'Fight or Flight'. This is best explained if we think of our evolution.

Going back to the times of cavemen, if there was a perceived threat or danger, humans would either need to fight or run (flight) to survive. Our body would need to perform to its greatest ability to ensure safety, so the process is designed to give the body an extra burst of energy and strength.

These threats, or stressors, would be short-lived and when the danger had gone the body would return back to a homeostatic (normal) state through a process of repair and recovery.

However, modern day pressures and a growing trend towards a more sedentary lifestyle have caused stress to become a chronic (long-term) issue. With our body not getting the opportunity to use the increased energy levels and greater strength, it equally doesn't get the respite in the repair and recovery process that it needs.

This is the key reason why exercise is an essential tool when dealing with stress effectively.

The team at Ireland Training are experts in helping people to find a training method they enjoy, which is an essential aspect in maintaining an effective exercise programme.

During the workshop, you will experience a fun-filled pad-work based exercise class. You will be taught how to punch, kick, knee and elbow your stress away.

These classes do not require any expertise and can be enjoyed by men and women of all ages, no matter what their fitness levels.
Exercise will help you and your team Combat Corporate Stress and gain less stress, more life.
