Nutrition is a key element to the way we live our lives and is essential in how we deal with stress.

Stress affects our diet in two major ways:

Firstly, during stressful events our body focuses more on survival than repair and recovery (eating and digesting food). Historically, stressful situations were short-lived but in today's modern lifestyle stress can last for days, weeks, months or years. This causes us to neglect eating at regular intervals and we end up craving highly processed, sugary foods - something we all know is bad!

Secondly, our body's ability to digest certain nutrients or the way in which our body uses these nutrients changes during highly stressful situations. This causes imbalances within the body. A correct diet can help rebalance the body.
